how unhealthy is it to use matches for bowls?

yesterday i somehow lost my lighter while using it and cannot find it anywhere, i know i sound lazy but i seriously cannot find it. so yesterday after like 20 min of looking i just started using matches. and i'm using them again today.

is this giong to kill me? one time i accidentally inhaled a whole bunch of sulfur, i forgot to wait for it to burn off. i'm pretty sure it means instant cancer

Just wait for the sulfur to burn off and use the burning wood to light the bowl. Unless it's the cardboard matches, then do that, but that may be a little more difficult. I think the burning stick of a match is the cleanest way to light a bowl, besides using a magnifying glass and the sun. Maybe I'm wrong, but oh well. Bics for me!

User to light bowls in my bong with matches. No biggie, plus you know how many hits you took by looking in the ashtray. I you smoke cigarettes, you've probably gotten the sulfur inhalation thing more than once. It DOES mean instant cancer, but at least you can get a med card(no offense to those with cancer).

yes it does mean instant cancer. I have had it many times. I think you need to sit for a while... just still like.... turn off the tv.....put some soft music on or not... you decide... then just close your eyes....

If you've noticed even after you let the end bit burn away there is still some liquid running down the match and burning which I'm assuming is sulfur. So it doesn't really burn off after the end bit is burnt.

Oh and lmfao @ instant cancer.
