How to vent Closed closet?

HI I was looking for ideas on how to vent a closed closet? I will be using a 400w hps if i get this worked out. If not ill be using a 150hps and yields will not be as good. 2.5'deep 4' long 9'high. Only thing is i can not put holes in the ceiling to vent out the heat. What are some other options i have?

Hole in the ceiling or floor....

Pull up a corner of the carpet in the closet. Use whatever you would use to make a hole in the floor....

Sometimes you have to do what you have to do, to make something work. A small hole in the floor or ceiling, is an easy fix....

Well how big exactly? I haven't bought the light yet so i don't know how big the ducting would be? The size of a pvc pipe to fit into or bigger?

I ran a 600 in a 3x3 closet for a long time. Your gonna need an aircooled hood or it will get way to hot. I made a hole in the ceiling and ran the exhaust into the attic. 4 inch exhaust will work fine with small inline fan. A good intake is very important or it dosent matter what your exhaust is like. After it was all done we patched the hole and you couldnt tell it was ever there. Good Luck pm me if you need any info.

ok so scored on a 250w hps on Cl for 25$ bucks. The thing is the reflector is so damn big. Can i just mount the socket to something else instead of using the reflector? This is what my reflector looks like not the actual picture but it is similar. The picture may actually be a bit smaller in reference to my actual hood. This thing is huge.

You can bend that hood to make a smaller light footprint. Good luck. -granger

Look to buying in a used closet door, have a passive vent 2 inches of the floor and a bathroom windows type extract fan at the top, once your lease is up, its a simple job to replace your door with the landlords?​

I had this with my first online buy, the reflector was just too big to deal with, lucky the canna angel supplied me with my very own cure,
that day back then in the middle of winter the electrical heater died, in my study, so whats more important illuminated cannabis or my own warmth?.. so ...I quickly dismantled the reflector of the electrical heater and have been using this 15x7 inch heater reflector with great results, as it dispenses heat just well too, for many a year now. ​
