How to speed control TD-Silent series.

Hi Guys.

Im having serious issues trying to use a GSE Climate Controller with my S&P TD-Silent fans. The GSE controlles both temp. and RH.

After a short period of time the fans suddenly stops working.

Im running a Ø125mm exhaust and a 100mm for fresh air intake.

Anybody know how to fix this - or which setup will do the trick for me instead of the TD-Silents ..

Kind Regards

Pretty sure the TD Silent range are not able to be put on a speed controller..

Was looking at the specs for my TD250/100-Silent just earlier today and it specifically said not to connect it to any speed controller.

However, depending on which model you have, some of them do have 2 different speeds you can wire the motor up, so with a bit of elec-trickery, you may be able to swap the supply from low to high speed, based upon the controllers output?

Hi again.

Its correct that the description in the manual says its not suitable for dimming. (didn't see that until after the purchase)
As I see it, the only reseller who says this out loud is justfans.co.uk ?!

Mine are both running at LA (high speed setting).

Its kind a hard to explain in the right terms what i exactly mean. But the speed isn't a problem. I just need the fans to turn on/off then the controller measures too high temp/RH in my room.

Im using both TD250/125mm and TD200/100mm.

This is the controller im using ATM: http://www.growland-hydroponics.com/Digital-Controller-for-Climate-Enviroments

The S & P is a shaded pole induction motor suitable only
with voltage speed control.

Verify with G Systems if their product works with your type
of fan start up voltage. Even if you run without speed control
the signal sent to the fan from the G Systems controller may
be the culprit.
