How to smoke and still have a clear head?

I guess I'm trying to find a balance between smoking, and still having a clear head when I need it so I can function at school/work.

Say you smoke during the night, is there anything you can do to help clear your head for the next morning? Does it just depend on how well your body processes toxins? Or how healthy you are in general?

Sort of on the same page...Why is it that when you take a long break your first hits again are very intense but then you slowly build up a tolerance?

I think it has more to do with how your body (brain) reacts to the substance, your tolerance and your overall health/chemical balance. If you feel that sort of 'brain fog' in the morning, try doing activities to get your blood flowin', start with stretches, followed by a few push-ups and then a 5 min walk. Afterwards, eat a breakfast meal- or some type of fruit- like an apple.

Another thing to try is a cold shower. It's intense, but it does wonders.

You get accustomed to the feeling, it's natural.

i remember a thread on OG that talked about some supplement people would take that got a lot of positive reviews, but i forget what it was. maybe someone on here who took it will remember. ginseng may also help a bit. personally in HS in college i just smoked before school to clear my head =/. for some reason i find myself more out of it if im half baked from the night before than if i have a nice wake and bake before class. however apparently a lot of people arent very good at concentrating on class while stoned. for me it always made it more interesting soo idk. if you wanna try though just pack a couple hits in your pipe and have a light toke before class. for reference i left HS with a 4.2 and college with a 3.8
 
I smoke almost daily and i have a pretty clear head unless i take a few bong rips and drink at the same time. Or drink at all for that matter.


Mabey you should stop rollin the fatties and try a vaporizer or taking slow burning hits.

smoke sativas.. smoke less and aim for the post-come-up high where youre able to DO stuff.

Example.. right after I smoke a doob, I cant concentrate on anything like reading a book...but 20 minutes later after the initial rush, I can wrap my mind around quantum physics

I used to have the same problem. Basically you can smoke only good stuff and don't smoke a BUNCH. Just enough. And make sure you get a good night's sleep.

It's like having a couple beers and stopping there, satisfied with that buzz. You don't need to get trashed to enjoy yourself.

go the sativas. Genius is a Grimm Bros strain so named because of the clarity in its high, but thats not so easy to find. Cinderella 99 and Apollo 11 are very closely related however, and also have very clear highs

dont smoke the WHOLE blunt, take 3-4 hits and it'll put u on that level w/o any hang overs.... people that smoke now over do it.... i seen people smoke total exotic strains in BLUNTS smoke the WHOLE thing and are rendered useless for 4-6 hrs.... MODERATION lil homie

getting some lecithin pellets and eating them like twice a day (u can't eat too much) will help reduce ur pot tolerance and give u a clearer head when ur not puffing...

I would also recommend not drinking alcohol - mixed with cannabis it can be a nightmare, and can ruin the effects - not to mention passing out/vomiting, etc. That said, I have saved a couple of parties from a drunken madman by passing them one of my 'special' spliffs - on the floor out cold in five minutes, guaranteed. And then the host can even give them a swift kicking if they feel like it, with no comeback...:)

But since I more or less stopped drinking a few years ago, I don't ever have problems in the morning. I usually fire up some sativa-dom weed with my first cup of tea anyway...Flo is the ultimate breakfast weed, IMO...:)

I hate seeing that, too. People around here mostly smoke blunts, except for me, and anytime they get any expensive headies they wanna roll a fat blunt and smoke the whole thing! Idiots, they could make that gram last 5-6 sessions!

To the thread starter. As others said, smoke less! Smoke only enough to satisfy. I recommend getting you a nice glass one-hitter or "glass blunt" as they're sometimes called. Vaporization is the top way to conserve, with a water bong being second. Or, you could try rolling half joints or something. Half joints smoked out of a one-hitter really hit the spot for me. Another trick is that people just tend to smoke and smoke until they feel the high coming on, THEN stop. Take a few hits (or a hit or two depending on how strong it is), put your smoking utensil down and wait for it. If you're not satisfied, take another hit or two. You'll find that smoking in this manner produces a more enjoyable, clearer high IMO. No use in getting completely trashed everytime you smoke, unless that's your thing. But that's what often produces that foggy headed feeling. Also, if you smoke before doing work, either don't smoke at all or smoke the absolute minimal amount and save it for AFTER work. This is more satisfying I find, and smoking too much before doing work can leave you feeling tired and heavy-headed afterwards.

Also, if you smoke cigs, try to separate the cigs and weed. Smoking too much tobacco after weed can produce that foggy feeling as well.

I smoke to get foggy,never heard of any weed that made ya clear!Sat's dont make ya clear,just racy and faster head,imo,indy's put the couch under me and takes loads of weight off my head,and THATS the reason I smoke.
if yer lookin for clear,try abstinance that or absinthe one,cant remember right now,i'm on the couch!!! :sasmokin:

yea lecithin thats what i was thinking of, im pretty sure the have them at walmart
 
Dont smoke too much sativa if ur expecting to go to sleep, itll mostly keep u up, but its up to you, thats just me though. Oh yeah, and depending on the strain, but most sativas
seem to keep me awake....thats what i call "GOOD SHIT" but on the other hand, sleeping is nicer for me on indicas, but its not all too different, youll find a nice strain to do the job i hope. Studying comes first i think, and ive always prefered sativas for the mental head strong high you get. Sativas make me want to do art and creative things, so do indicas...but its not as good and FUN as sativa i think.
