How to sample the Buds?

I was wondering how some of you actually prune a small sample bud off your plant to try it out a few weeks before harvest. Do I just Cut a branch with the bud off at the stem like straight amputation or do I need to angle the cut a little? please help me with this operation!

My plant has a few weeks left but I simply cannot resist the temtation to have a sampling of one tiny bud. Whenever i get close the smell is awesome and its really getting frosty. My mouth is really watering!

LMao, j/k, dude just cut one off and tirm it up good and then dry it out. If you're going to quick dry use a dehydrator rather then a nuker. You'll kick yourself for not waiting til its done though if its too early.

Yeah,
You can snip a small bud and sample it. A method that I have used to dry a small bud enough for smoking is to just lay it on top of my pc monitor for 6-8 hours. The sampler will not reflect the finished product, but will give a general idea of where it's at. Sooooo don't get bummed out if your sampler doesen't have quite the desired effect your looking for and if it turns out harsh. Your finished and cured bud will be well worth the effort and the wait.

You can pull off a small bud and let it dry for 3 days and it will be good to smoke.

If your a few weeks away it will hardly be worth it... That bud will have gotten much bigger and better by the end...

Just joking I cutt off small lower budds all the time. But I can smoke them right away in my vaporizer I have to vape at a higher temp for a bit but I get to taste, and test the buzz.

This is a temptation we all face at some point. Usually right before harvest time. But be advised - In those final weeks, the buds really pack on the trichomes and just get better and better. You can clip off a small "popcorn bud" to sample, no problem. But without proper curing, it's gonna taste like lawn clippings.

I think Im gonna have some really potent shit when this plant is done..
I just dried a little bud from the bottom of my plant and smoked it after drying for 2 days! This plant is only about 25 days into flowering, but when I sampled a small bud from the middle of the plant I got a really nice buzz!! The plant is NL from Nirvana, but turned out to be a sati/indica mix. thanks for the assurance guys i will wait out the rest of the plant for the best results!

snip it. the computer drying method works quite well. just don't overdo it.

pot is a VERY tough and resiliant plant. you won't disturb it at all by taking some buddage.

i always sample. not because i have to but because i want to. it helps to have a closet full of babies.

Yeah man indulge, snip away as you need it, I leave the large colas alone and stick to the small stuff.
I take samples even if I have cured bud laying around, it's different high and makes for a change.
Your plant won't miss it...straight cut is best to limit open exposure if you want to get fussy.
