Cool mist humidifier, the ones with a visable mist cost about 30 bucks, excellent natural mite preventative too.

Eh, it doesn't need to be 70%-80%, but a high humidity (50%+) is preferable for seedlings, cuttings and young plants in general. There is also a theory saying that a higher humidity in veg gives a higher female ratio in seedlings, it is not proven but probable IMO.
You can use a humidifier or a mist maker (fogger) to increase air humidity. You can lead in outdoor air into your growroom through your intraction, since it often have a higher humidity than indoor air. If your growroom is heated, change electric heaters (that produces dry heat) against kerosene heaters or CO2 generators that burn fuel and produce a higher Rh in the process. A cheaper way of raising Rh is to put pots with wet sand in your growroom, or hang some clean, wet towels in there, and change them regularly. You can of course just put a bowl of water in there to raise the humidity, but still water attracts certain types of insects so change it regularly.

I use an "invisible mist" cool mist humidifier blowing right on the plants during veg.

Not only does it give off really cold air and bring the humidity up, it also filters out debris in the air, so it acts like a semi effective air purifier too.

I also have one in my living room, inhaling the air that comes out of a cool mist if so refreshing, especially in the winter, when the humidity outside is none existent, and you have dry ass heater air being pumped into your house.

A cool mist is a fucking awesome investment for your grow, and for your comfort of living in your house as well.

Before I got one, the average humidity in my house was 10-20% in the winter.

Fucking desert like conditions.

If you can get RH up to 70% in veg give it a try and you'll find your plants much happier and healthier than at 50% RH all the time.

Damn how remote?

You can get a cool mist all most anywhere.

You don't have a drug store?

A department store?

Nothing?
you americans just dont get it. not meaning to criticise but anywhere else in the world dont have drugstores that sell humidiifiers or big one stop shopping malls and wallmarts. it can be difficult to find places that supply these things.this is the reality of living in a non-rapist economy

no lucky me , we dont have drive by,s ,oboesity, military carnage mentality, open gun laws, capital punishment, or huge capitalist enterprise. we also have a grip on energy consumption, have signed the kyoto agreement for co2 and we dont have to murder arabs to supply our energy demands. now i do mean to critisise.

well unless in a tiki n africa--i bet a cool mist is local...and if not...bestbuy type shows/amazon etc will ship one to ya.

i use a evaporative cooler...it saves the floors from being soaked..along with the plants...and is rather efficient..

sometimes your house is dry from winter spells...where the walls and large wooden i beams literally pull water...in which case..run a washing machine/dryer///normally rebalances the materials in your house...winter is normally dry...soooo

can't ya just feel the love!!! haaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
how da fuk does a grow forum git political anyhow??? humidity question turns to killin arabs for oil. go figger!!

Okay i wanna clear one thing up that seems to be mistaken, Logic posted this thread not Buddymag00.

Anyway while i'm here i'm gonna throw in my two cents. Buddymag you may be right in much of what you said BUT, and this is a big but, politics has no place on this message board let alone the indoor growing forum. The USA may be a fucked up country politics wise but its one of many.I'm sure where your from it has its fair share of problems.Like jojajico said your insulting the people here not the government. If you really feel that passionate about it then do something but don't put people down because of there geographical location. That is just ignorance and ignorance is probably the biggest problem the world has.

P.s. this is not a personal attack more a objective observation
