how to make ice cream?

so i want to make some canna ice cream but not sure how. i have an icecream maker but i would assume you would either cook down the herb with the heavy cream or cook down with butter then add to the cream. either way i would love some input on this.

I imagine making qwiso or similar then making the ice cream from that would be much more simple and effective, also won't taste like shit.

I never made ice cream but I make hot coco all the time with qwiso just melted in a tiny bit of butter, then stirred into the milk, sugar, coco. Works great, can't imagine ice cream would be much different.
