How to keep the cost of Energy down?

Hey everyone,

Question, what is the best way to lower energy cost when growing?

I dont want to steal it, Can not do solar power where I am not enough sun throughout the days, window power is a maybe but not worth it for the little energy id get.

Im growing hydroponically, This is my list of stuff.

Ballast 600w
Light 600w
Water pump ( like a fish tank one)
Air pump (same deal as above)
6" intake fan
6" inline fan
t5 light
fan speed controller
small fan

I think thats about it lol.

Im going to assume the only thing I could do is change the Ballast + light to an Led setup?

Just be more green in your daily life, make sure your non-growing spaces are lit with CFLs or LEDs, add motion or dusk-till-dawn sensors, add a temperature control unit to your fans so they only come on when your grow needs to be cooled, reduce your flowering cycle to 11/13 instead of 12/12, if you really need to lower your bills, there are a lot of ways to go about it.

Water heater uses a lot of juice,timer,I have one on mine.I think the thing most seen is,people leaving lights on when there gone,or not even in the room.I have a reduced cost period that I utilize to my advantage,9to9 is cheap time,so I run my lights at this time.

Phantom usage also is something to think about?Programmable thermostat helps to save.
