so my window will have a portable ac unit going into it which will have 2 tubes but those I'm not worried about as it is clearly a AC unit.

However, I also need a 4 inch tube to go up to the window as well which will suck fresh air in.. how do i do this without people seeing it?

If you mean people outside seing it, you could use an old speaker, fit a spigot on the back of the speaker at the bottom and stand that speaker on the window ledge with the duct fixed to the spigot, if you mess aroind with what angle you set it at and keep going outside to have alook, youll soon suss how to stand it like that. Once Ive done my new veg tent, ill be making a stealth speaker box which will hold my fan and filter for for it, thats going to be cool.

I cant really tke credit....I saw someone do it on overgrow when i 1st started growing in early 04 he had a wardrobe I think and the speaker was on top... I just modified the idea a bit to have a filter and maybe the fan too inside it.... but yeah just blowing through it is a nice idea...thats why i always remembered it... Aslo if you built a false front into the box, you could actually have a working speaker in it-you woulnt get great sound from ur tunes lol but it would enhance the stealthiness...

Here is what I do:

I have an exhaust on one window, which is directly over the parking area for my building, so stealth is key. I took a thick box and cut a hole, same size as the ducting, on the back. I fit the ducting into it and then sliced some "vents" on the other side. I put it right in the window, it looks like it is propping the window open. I then hung a nice tapestry that has panda plastic on the back(inside), side. From the outside it simply looks like a window propped open and a nice tapestry hanging. Works well

The speaker idea is top notch though!! :joint:

Do you need to hide the true nature of this 4" vent on the inside of the room as well?

Hey Fondapeter,

No, the main concern is only for the exterior view, and to be honest, because it's on the second floor and there is only one window that could see it, it shouldn't be that hard, I've just never attempted it before and don't want to fuck up the airflow.

It's a passive system just for my lights. About 25 feet long, with two 175cfms pulling at the other end.
