How to get a plant to stretch *more*

So I found a killer pheno in a pack of HSO green crack beans. Fantastic smell, taste, and a super fast 48 day flower time. Unfortuantely it does have one drawback: it's too damn bushy.

I like to grow scrog style with most plants due to limited space, and when i try to bush out this green crack, it stays *too* short, and has *too many* branches. Kind of the opposite problem you have with sativas. There is almost no space at all between internodes.

I'm worried that if I flower it when it's still so compact it will be a major mold risk.

There is also basically zero stretch during flower. She looks identical on the last day of flowering as she does on the first day in terms of branch length.

So what are some good techniques for getting really really stout, bushy indicas to hold a better structure?

Increase your P levels. Get them up over 60ppm in veg and they will stretch out more for ya.

In the first two weeks of flower feed with a veg nutrient. That may encourage some stretching.

Sounds like a really nice pheno though!

If you can, create farther distance between light/plant.....that makes em stretch.

I'm with the simple approach of raising the lights. Why risk causing a nutrient imbalance when you can just do that?
