Hello,
I am part way through my first harvest. i haven't had much time to research hash, but have decided that I will grab some bubble bags in the future. I know that I can fresh the fresh trim now, but how? Do I have to use paper bags or can I use a plastic trash bag? Are there any other tips real quick?

If your planning on making bubble hash or iso etc...

you Do not want to dry you want to freeze the trim fresh

It's simple just put it in then plastic bag and then into the freezer and your done until time to make the hash

I have always had about half the yield using fresh as opposed to dry cured. My taste preference is cured for over a month, pressed and cured for at least another two weeks.

So you dry and cure your trim??

really?

why?

Do you plan on smoking some of it or something?

I believe and could be wrong the general rule of thumb is fresh trim for bubble hash.

But to each their own.

If you had stated that in your original post that it was your personal preference.

Half the yield?? got pics of that?

did you do a second run with the fresh?

No but I have done enough bubble to know that dry will yield more of the product I like. I actually prefer dry sift nowdays.

To be fair I have never used "bubble bags" but I have my own system that is very similar if not better.

I dry and cure mine (mostly I cure it, sometimes I'm lazy) as this is my preferred method for drysifting :)

I also find "mixed" sift to be a better "all round" smoke than single strains, although I have one or two that I like to keep "pure" :)

I found in the past that while making water extracts, that I had better results with fresh/frozen trim :)

but thats just me ... :)
