Simple.
Blow him away with how much better your organic dank is.
In fact, grow from the same clone mother.
Side by side.
If that doesnt explain it, you have no arguement.
grow better pot than he does is a good start. If his gear is better than yours it will be hard to change his mind. grow better tasting pot and yield well and then go talk to him. I fyou cant then you donthave any reason to try to convince him
The simplicity of organics is a plus. No real feed schedules, just add water, don't need to water every day. Taste better, less money spent on nutrients. Lots of reasons. If he cares about the environment.
Aside from the taste and smell, plants just seem happier in a well thought out organic medium. Plants evolved for millions of years with organics and healthy, diverse soils. Synthetic fertilizers were created by man in the last century. what hasn't man screwed up??
My experience in growing the same F1's for over 5 years is it is how you grow it.
So the plus side of organics is superior quality when grown well but inexperienced growers may well want results in size and weight right away without making the effort to develop skill.
They may not know what smoking a long joint that smokes sooth as silk is about but when they do get a sample they just about rob to get more.
. Myself I enjoy that smooth tasty smoke.
No harsh gag-cough for me.
I'd say to be an Organic grower is a craft that one learns over time and the rewards are in the quality.
Tell him to research where chemical fertilizers came from and why people started using them in the first place. Nature has existed for millions of years without them. Then tell him to visit the midwest for a week and see what chemical farming does to land. Miles of destroyed dead soil trying to fart out produce. It made me want to die living there and having to look at that shit all day long... DEPRESSING!!! Some parts look like a fu[king desert! They should punish all litterbugs by making them live there for a month.
Chemical companies had to find something to do with the WWII chemicals sitting around doing nothing. Yep that's right the same chemicals used to blow up and kill people are now killing your soil! So support chemicals and support capitalists war mongers. Oklahoma city bomb = nitrogen fertlizer and cotton ball with a little fuel to ignite it. Also anhydrous nitrogen is used to make methamphetamine.
Deep thought - Science will continue to tell you that chemicals are better for plants but remember.... science is limited to what humans can observe even when using the most powerful microscopes scientists cannot see everything.
Thanks for the correction. I knew it was some form of nitrogen and didn't want to google it..haha.
Maybe I should say " The chemicals used to manufacture chemical weapons are the same chemicals used to make chemical fertilizers." Better wording.
Funny stuff:
wikipedia not sure if its 100% true ->
The cost of natural gas makes up about 90% of the cost of producing ammonia. They have to use fossil fuels to produce nitrogen and then petroleum to bottle it in a nice pretty plastic container. If this is true, I wonder how long before chemical fertlizers become more expensive than organics...?
I know AN raised their prices in the last year 10 or 15% because plastic containers are becoming more expensive to produce. I have friends who own a gardening store and that's what they were told.
my buddy really is not concerned about the environment. I told him he should grow organic (after showing me his new grow box), and he asked why. I told him that it will taste better, the high will be better, the smell will be better, yet I still don't think I fully convinced him.
Im not sure, even as a die hard organic grower, that anyone should convince anyone to grow a certain way.Its all about learning and discovery. You can lay the facts out for somone to help them make a decision on their own but I really dont think Id push somone in any one direction. Some people have a way easier time in soiless with like a three part than in organic soil, especially starting out.Learning how much and when is somthing that takes time and a certain understanding for plant science.Which will come in time after watching how the plants eat and grow and getting a general feel for things.Maybe soiless with an organic liquid bottled fert to start out would be a good suggestion.Hope this helps,Peace,Gromerr Pott!!
