How to convert a bedroom in to flowering room

Hey

Can someone either explain what they do to accomplish this..or perhaps point me to a thread that outlines the process. I am used to tents....but will be expanding...and will need some help in converting a bedroom in to a light tight flowering room.

Is it possible to seal a bedroom for co2 supplementation? Would it be easier just to run intake/exhaust neg pressure in a bedroom. Im pretty sure I cant build a room inside a room at this point.....

Any help would be appreciated.

I am planning on 6k coco/dtw in a master bedroom...with a veg/mother room next to it.

This is all in a rental.

Thanks

Thanks ChunkyPigs! I have seen that video already several times. Always good to watch though.

I am planning on a 6k room. two rows of three lights. Flood trays...9 per light in 2 gallons vegged for 4.5 weeks. This would be perpetual harvesting every 4.5 weeks.

Im assuming I would need an 8" per side pulling through....and then a 12" at the end of the Y helping those fans.

At this point I can use a window banger correct? If I have negative pressure in the room...no smell should escape through the AC unit? Some sort of environmental control...a light controller....plenty of fans.... And to make sure everything is light tight..I would need to run panda or reflectix on the walls/ceiling...and then the door. What about the door? Do you run panda along the door...and just cut a slit and put one of those zipper things on it so you can get in and out?

I am doing dtw with drippers. I am coming from ebb and flood...and am hoping that dripping will require less water and less wasted nutes.

Any input guys?

Veg room I am thinking two 4x4 under 2 600 watt MH's. a rack for clones and seed starts....and perhaps another 600w for mothers and some assorted t5s and stuff.

Thanks

Hey man, I converted one of my 10x13 bedrooms into about a 6k room sealed with AC and Co2. Link is in my sig. Good luck!

Bad Habits...great thread...I have seen it before.

Are you in a rental?

I feel like framing a bedroom would be insane for me...as I may have to tear down at a moments notice. Assuming its a newer house...shouldnt the walls be insulated already. If I were to go regular Intake/exhaust...could I just hang reflectix and be done with it. Making sure there are no light leaks...with a window ac....isnt this really all you would need for a regular aspirated room...obviously a sealed room has different requirements.

Thanks

I built a floor to ceiling thing with 2x 6's and thin plywood that is wider than the window and allows for a passive air intake and light filter. I cut a pair of matchstick blinds to a pinch fit just inside the opening of the window. the intake air flows through them and it looks normal from outside. I use a 12" wind tunnel fan and large carbon filter blowing into the attic in the spring thru fall.

I have to flower at night in the summer and in the winter I blow the exhaust through a wall into another room to help heat the house with the door serving as intake. no humidity control in summer but it works in my climate. no Co2 and no expense for cooling.

I would use inexpensive T8 floro lighting for veg. HD has nice cheap fixtures and you can use less electricity/less heat. I veg in a 4x4 with 300 watts floro. waaaaayyyy cheaper than ballast hood bulb cooling. plenty of light for vegging.
