I use a silver surfer (SSV) vaporizer and have 5 glass wands for it. they each get dirty/clogged after about 4-5 days of vaping (dirty by my standard). when each is replaced with one of the clean ones, i store the dirty ones, bowl down, in a glass of (2"-3") corn oil. The corn oil dissolves the gooey THC and debris that accumulates on the screen and glass of the wand, which restricts air flow. When 4 of them are dirty and have been soaking in the glass of oil (soaking longer is better), take them and put them in the dishwasher (bowl facing up) with the dirty dishes. they come out like new, screens too. do not know if it will work on glass pipes and that burnt shit.
Additionally, if one uses a wand type vaporizer
, the addition of a filter, like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-3-8-Chr...s_Accessories&hash=item23405bb59b&vxp=mtr ,in the hose, between the bowl and your mouth, will catch the great majority of dryed/vaped material that will and does get past the screen, lining your throat and lungs with plant debris and like ash from a pipe, isn't good for the human body in the long run
