How to best clean an acrylic bong. (?)

Hey all, it's been a short while since I hopped on here. Anyways, over the past few months, I've been heavily using my acrylic bong since Mr. Glass passed into the great unknown the day before my previous birthday. Now that it's becoming heavily resonated, how best to clean it without causing any defects or damage ... ?

I use Simple Green and a Nylon "radiator"Brush on my acrylic bong. (Simple Green is avail. at Wally-Mart, Supermarkets and automotive stores)

Iso and salt, every piece I've owned (glass, metal, and acryllic) has been cleaned to like new condition.

Last acrylic I had, like a fool, I left it overnight in ISO, and the next day the bong was in at least 5 pieces, lol.

lol I've soaked glass and metal in ISO but I never had a reason to do it with acryllic. I'm sure I would've learned just like you did. With my acrylic bong I usually just poured like an inch of iso in, then enough salt to cover the bottom, and then just plugged up any openings and shook it around. Within a few minutes it was like new, so I never had the iso in there for more than a few minutes. When you use ISO, take plenty of time to rinse the piece after cleaning it, you don't want to get any alcohol residue in your first hit, tastes gross.

This may sound weird but I have always cleaned mine with listerine, cleans it pretty well and leaves a refreshing minty smell until of course you use the bong again.

Hello all,

Never ever use ISO on acrylic-the acrylic reacts badly to ISO and will be destroyed.

I'd say hot soapy water, maybe
some salt on a second wash,
then a couple hot plain rinses.......

hot water will loosen the crud built
up, Dawn soap will rinse away oils.
Water hot but not boiling as acrylic
has that glass like fragility built into it.
