how soon to use nutrients

Hey guys, I just recently moved my seedlings from their veg cab into a bigger area to compensate for their size, they are now under 430 hps. I just wanted to know if i should be able to use my nutrients first watering after i transplant. I mixed miracle gro, with vermiculite perlite and worm castings, theres about 2.5 times the soil compared to worm castings. will they burn if i give them nutrients? I know that they are fine from the transplant because i did it last night and they have grown today! thanks

The castings are the nutes for now, the new soil should have enough nutes for the first three weeks or so. Dont forget to add some dolomite for stabilazation of PH in the soil,

I'm sure there's a whole lot more to it, but if you stay organic and good lighting, which it sounds like you have, it's pretty much worry free and little work. Good luck Dude. Boon dud age!

I seriously dont see why you guys insist on using MG soil. I've never seen a good experience w/ that stuff indoors...or out w/ MJ (and I've had 1 nightmare w/ it, and that was enuf)...I know some of you peeps say it can work, but I think youd be better off in str8 perlite and just feeding w/ some nutes from the hydro store.

I dont think anyone but your plants themselves will be able to tell you when to start feeding them if your using that stuff.

good luck tho:D

I've never had a problem with MG soil, Nokuy. Although, I always pick out any wood, moss & rocks before I use it. For seedlings, I shake the soil through a beach sand sifter entirely, and remove everything but straight soil for the kids' first few weeks.
Never had a problem with MG soil, but I hear from time to time about others having problems or some sort or another. Maybe folks are leaving the undesireables in (wood, moss, rocks, etc)

It definately will depend on your medium, most worm castings I've seen have an NPK of 1-0-0 and wont burn plants.Hell I grew a plant in 100% worm castings once for kicks.I use pure blend pro during veg for the specific reason that you can and should fert every watering once clones are rooted and seedlings are a couple weeks old. When I plant clones in dirt I use plani water, the next watering will be 7ml PBP and LK of course, you wont burn your plants with this stuff.I used grow big for years in veg and still use it during the "stretch" of 12/12,but for veg PBP blows away FF grow big IMO.Give it a try if you can use every time as per directions and forget about overferting altogetherEDIT I guess I should have mentioned results lol.I found my strains vegged faster and became more lush and healthy using PBP veg as opposed to FF grow big, definately a better MJ fert IMO.
