How should I harden off my plants from fluorescent to HPS.

Hey guys I need a little help with a plan of attack for hardening off my girls.

They have been under 2 four foot fluorescent tubes for a few weeks and are about 10 inches tall.

I have finally got my act together and fully set up my room and my 1000w hps is ready to roll.

How much time should I let them sit under the 1000w. I don't want to fry them. I still have the fluorescent running so I can turn off the 1000w and keep the photoperiod going.

Right now I have them all around the outer edges of the footprint because I was too scared to put them right under this monster hahaha.

Just keep the light about 3 ft away & they should be ok. After 3-5 days move down

hi sweetskunker...go gradually like ShortStackz said...depending of the volume of your room, the heat generated by the 1000w bulb could be an issue...just manage to have a look at your girls like every 2-3hours the first days in case of...it's gonna be OK...the girls will just love all that 1K light and reward you with fat swelling nugs...good luck...

Start at 3-4 feet and either the light or the plant gets moved closer.... over 2-3 days. Worked for me for 10 years.

yup, at 3ft you wont have any problems and they will love the light.
