So what say you, are self storage places safe to store special things in?

Kind of like asking if cars are safe. Which ones?

A well-monitored, well-built, DRY, (preferably environmentally controlled, i.e., heat, moisture, etc.) then, sure.

But I've seen poorly monitored, less than secure facilities get broken into, or leak water from precipitation, etc.

Then there's the access issue. Who has access? Is there sufficient security camera placement? Or any?

They can be safe, but most that I've seen are built very cheaply. In the lesser storage facilities, I'd defer to buzz's assessment, often not safe for valuables, and for numerous reasons.

But if you're willing to spend the jing, there are some exceptions, too

Heh,we paid our storage to the shitty manager there in weed.and the cocksucker went and sold all of our storage on us.i guess it depends on who is running the storage.lots of greasy asholes in that business
