How often do you clean your glass???

Title says it all, me personally;

I let it go till it is so clogged it doesn't work well, and doesn't hit easily, I hate when a bowl is brand new or just cleaned and the weed won't even stay in the bowl part....you always gotta "break in" a glass piece....

Furthermore for the thread, if you use glass and clean it; what do you use?
the old ISO and salt? or formula 420 or oxyclean or what?

My personal experience is salt and iso work easy and safely, however formula 420 will get even the dirtiest bongs or bubblers clean.... I once used oxyclean too with some hot water, than washed in ISO...that works well.

EDIT: Damit, I wanted a Sometimes option and Other....O well, why the hell can these post polls not be edited?

I also empty my bubbler out after every use, and clean it with iso few times a year...

Was cleaning with ISO and salt once a day of heavy smoking. Now i ran out of ISO so just a soap rinse once a day. Lots of water changes and addition of ice to the stem.

As for my pipe i just poke out the bowl and keep going. I let the resin build.

Damn I miss having a bong....and you made me think of a few more options i wanted on the poll : "I have multiple pieces, and clean them differently"

I clean my RooR daily, because my wife and I are heavy users. The spoons, however, get cleaned maybe once a month, but they don't see nearly as much usage as the bong.

I don't screen them so I tend to clean it out once I can really see bits of bud floating around in there, I am a bit of a germaphob so it kind of freaks me out
Also if the smell gets really bad it gets changed

Which Roor do you own? does it have a diffuser (sp) or ashcatcher?

If i had one with one i would clean it daily too....but then i would have an ash catcher too and try to just keep that clean.

No really, im a lazy **** sometime, but when it comes to my bong

Roar 1 ft, heated glass for smoking, no butane anymore, bottom diffuser nice and short so no stale

I clean this bitch 2 times a day if its me, 3 times if its me and the girl
Rocksalt, 91% iso actually works alot better then 71% i was suprised!

Two bowls for trade off these get cleaned too everytime.

I used to use 420 juice, but fok, its expensive after time, i dont like leaving any smell , yeah lemon is nice but id rather taste it coming out of my herb!


So if the bud is crap , it doesnt get smoked period! I got the volcano for that, and why taste resin when you got the dank ya know!!

why are you suprised 91% worked better? it works alot better for ISO oil, why would water make it better?
I always assumed 91% worked better for everything...
Rocksalt does work well too, especially w/bongs however I find in impractical for my smaller piece that I use the most.

glass screen in a stem of bong or in a spoon or what? I have never liked glass screens...probably just because I am not used to them, I would always empty them into my hand, as I do the bowl, and either burn myself or loose it.

I am slightly bitter about this damn forum technology being 10 years old by now and still no edit poll option...whatever I shall smoke another bowl, it's tasty

I own the RooR custom dealers cup 7.0 with diffuser and ashcatcher. I'm just fanatical about smoking out of impeccably clean bongs.

It's not that I don't agree with you, It's just I don't find that practical, cause it makes the bowl and herb very "slippery", you can't smoke outside cause the herb will blow right out the bowl, I like to break in the bowl, and again, I don't smoke nothing but the best of the best out of my glass,

I probably clean my glass pipes once every 3-5 uses. Bubbler, I rinse out and put in fresh water every time and clean it once I get a resiny taste even with fresh water. Vaporizer, I let that go a long time 6 months to a year. I really like smoking out of clean glass though, that way you're getting the flavor of your herb and nothing else. As far as herb sucking through when it's clean, I try and pack a couple larger pieces in the bottom to cover up the hole. As far as having it blow out when I go outside, I don't know if you mean you're traveling with it or what but I frequently take mine out with me when I ride my mountain bike or when I'm hiking and I always pack the bowl and then wrap it in aluminum foil to keep anything from falling out.

I'll usually clean the roor once or twice a week if we're on a smoking binge, otherwise it gets neglected until we're smoking again - every new batch of weed must be smoked through a completely clean bong.

edit: glass screens clog quickly too so after every bowl (we always do one hit bowls, just a pinch of weed smoked at a time) I empty the ash and give it a little scrape with a pokey tool, just to keep the airflow there.

I agree with you 100%, I dont like when a bowl is not broken in, the bud dosnt stick in the bowl right. I as well smoke only heady out of my bongs, so even when I do clean my glass I never clean the bowls, but maybe to scrap some unnecessary resin out.

I clean with alcohol and salt every few weeks, but run my glass through a jet of hot water every few days to clean out the giblets...

i agree about the rock salt not being practical, when im out i use epsom salts but i like rice too.

And yes the bowl is slippery , one rip and its not! haha.
