How much wattage is too much?

I'm using a plug from the washer area in the garage, so i'm assuming its 120

If i run a 1k watt
400 watt
100 watt fluro
400 CFM exaust
couple small fans for air circ
small window manual ac unit for 4x6 space ( caulked sealed)
am i gonna blow the circ?

thats the last thing i want, and if i have to get dirty in the attic i'll run a cord from the living room with an extension on it, just hate getting up their ( wouldn't be too fun)

any suggestions, comments greatly appreciated.

Im not electrics expert, but I think you would be best of running the AC unit off of a different breaker than the 1kw:2cents:

The window AC probably uses almost as much power as the lights combined, or at least half that much if it's a tiny window unit. If you have a 20amp circuit then maybe, but I'd never run it that close. I'd put the AC on a separate circuit as stated by Seismic.

And watch out about the cords and plugs you use.. It may say rated for 15 amps but more than likely that means a spike of 15 amps not a continuous load.

Play it safe as the guys say and split the load on two different circuits.

your running to much off one circuit your breaker will pop and if you keep snapping it back over you will burn your house down! get a sub panel any electrical book from home depot or lowes will show you how to wire one.
good luck

Ya, an AC can use most of the 15 amps most 120 house's have - so your going to need to split it up or use a dryer plug and run 240, but just remember your ballasts must be converted to 240. If you don't need that much power its more work than its worth, especially more dangerous if you get a shock. 120 you can be okay but 240 can kill in seconds. Just my advice.

Probably gonna run an extension cord and drill through the wall to the garage from a dif circuit like in the living room
