I use 2 liters of water per 11 liters of soil. However, if you use only 250 watts MH you may need less. Your plants would fair better in the future if you keep your containers smaller for better water management. Having larger pots, you will need to move more water from the roots to the top of the stems. In veg stage, the plants can transpire easily, but when flower time comes the water can't transpire out the tops of the plants. Larger containers make wet to dry cycles much harder to achieve.

Two reasons I don't use large containers indoors. One is better "water management". Large containers hold too much water longer indoors. Two, when you have a lot of water released in your house you can cause a lot of problems with indoor mold. The AC and air ducts will grow mold inside them and pollute your breathing air. If you are not pulling as much water out of the air as you adding to the soil the water will accumulate in your house. 😎
