How much should it cost a canna lab to run tests?!

I'm sure I can google this but I'm lazy so I'm writing a long message and not doing my own research lol

What's an average that it costs a lab to run your THC, terpene, pesticide tests, etc.?


Ie, $1 dollar per THC test? $30? (and they are charging $50-100 for any particular test to you).



There's a buncha things I'm wondering that you can gain from such info...

Get a thin layer chromatography test kit. You can do numerous samples, DIY.

^Labour costs, rents, accountants and lawyers, taxes, investments in machinery, marketing costs, IT costs, general maintenance costs, service costs, insurances,...etc.

It will be a lot more then you think. Lots of people think it's just the raw wholesale chemicals price used in the actual test...

Just like any other business a lot of overhead costs.

The alternative has been suggested by several. Or were you looking for some kind of price-control legislation? In that case, this becomes a very different conversation.

Pesticide costs can vary depending on equipment & method: Quechers, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, etc.

Even for in house R&D, it's not cheap.
