How much light to keep plants in veg?

I have a situation where I have one timer powering lights to both a veg and flower room. To keep myself safe from forgetting to unplug the timer I keep it on 12/12 schedule. We all know this will cause the vegetating plants to flower. Will a simple household 75 watt light bulb at the top of my 8x9x10 veg room on a 20/4 timer keep the plants from flowering and not stressing the fuck out? I don't care the rate at which my veg plants grow; I just don't want them to be flowering or stressed. BTW when they're on the 12 hours with light they have a few kilos of juicy MH HID lighting.

I also have a few mothers who I lazily let flower and they are about 2 and half weeks in, so they're full blow flowering. How long in veg until they recover and lose the colas and when can I safely take clones from them.

I doubt the 75 watt halogen will work.. Why don't you use the timer you were going to put the 75 watt halogen on for your veg light/s?

you shouldnt even b using halogen lights keep ur flower on the 12/12 timer and keep veg on 24/7 or do your 8 hrs dark manually.

To answer your question: Yes... if you allow your plants to get light, ANY LIGHT, for 18hrs a day, they should not flower.... Not that I agree with your current setup, but it will work based on what you've said.

yeah im not getting why you dont just use timer on veg schedule?

you can take clones from flowering plant. just takes longer to start upward veg growth.
