How much light in veg

Say you had 250 CFLwatts and four plants from seed in a sog style grow. Would it be fine to just germinate them and veg them a little under the full 250watts and just switch to 12/12 to flower? Or would it be less stresful to lower the lights to like 150?

Last time my plants vegged under one 23 watt CFL per plant for about 2 weeks. I managed to scrape up 20 bucks and vegged them under two 23 watt CFL's for another week, and then flowered 4 plants under (12) 23 watt CFL's for 60 days. I finished up with about 5-6 ounces after 8 days air dry and 2 weeks in a jar.

I think if I had more light during flower, like another 4-6 CFL's the plants cola's may have doubled. That's just how I feel though. So far I have each plant under (2) cfls, and will have to buy some more cfl's within a month. My plant end up in the 28-34 inch range, and will need a few side lights at 20 inches to fully illuminate the plants from container to ceiling.

Imagine 2 rows of plants. 2 lights above each plant, and 4-6 lights hanging 20 inches down from tops between the two rows of plants. Then wrap the package in mylar, add a fan, and you can see my ghetto box. And don't go tripping over all the wires. Call it a fire hazard if you want. I don;t care.

Sorry for the ramble, hope any info helps. I think you'll do fine either way.

you have 250w cfls or do your bulbs say x watt = 250w i use 2 kinds of cfls for veg

45w warm=150 watt
25w daylight=100 watt

my bigger cfls uses 45w in electricty and is equal in light to 150w
my smaller uses 25w and is equal to 100w
i have total 410w in cfl, each fixture contains the above 2 bulb combo 6 light fixture's total

I currently have two 42watts 2700K CFLs (the highest I can find, Also I will buy two more) and one power compact 55 watt 5500k bulb that I recycled from an old planted aquarium setup i had. Also I have a couple of 26watt cfls laying around somewhere that I might use if I ever need to clone.

Im trying to figure out the best way to do this. I have 5 femmed white rhino seeds and one cubic metre of space to grow.

The CFL cost 4 for like 8 bucks. 23w=100 watts of light. I think they are also 2700K and have a lumen output of 1600 each. Thanks for the well wishes on my grow. Same to everyone else. I;m just hoping to make seed this time around with the WW seeds I bought.

Ok so it will be fine to germinate and veg the plants under all my light or is it just wasting electricity when i could be veging them under less light with the same result?

I'm trying to keep my temps up! The room is like 60*F at night. Trying to think of a way to keep it warmer in there at night.
