How much does temp rise when lights on?

Just put in a 600w(up from 150w) and the temp inside goes up by 5 deg to 81 when the light turns on. Before with the 150w there was no real change. Just wondering how much it typically increases? I think 81 should be ok, but would like to get it down a few deg if I can.

Yo frank as long as you got good air flow and ventilation i would personally run temps 82 - 88 my last few grows i find that range to seriously work well

Always first go off of your ambient room temperature and if you have adequate exhaust it should only go up 5 to 10 degrees BUT you will never be able to cool it further than ambient. I am sure you know that BUT some really think with enough airflow they can "cool" air with a fan which isn't the case.

Have a good exhaust with decent fresh air in the room and all will be good. Also since you are going from a 150 to 600 don't forget light distance from the top of your canopy.

During the summer, my temps would get up to around 33C which is around 91F. Had 2 fans going in the tent and no ill effects...

Yup i have had it up there 2 one must remember that with them temps watering is needed more as plants transpire more but yup i will never run temps below 82 growth is tri fold i keep temps 72 - 76 light off
