My biggest objection to any gmo's are the unintended consequences which seem to be very low in priorities of Monsanto and other creeps doing that.

Although they like to point out only the positive things, there are certainly many negatives, a lot of unknowns. But as past experience has shown over and over, those negative consequences even if known, are often shielded by companies who see that as limiting profits.

We know that biological systems always function through symbiotic relationships and very often even genes are dependent on one another in unforeseen ways. They are putting the cart (their profits) before the horse (consequences). Still, again, even if negative often fatal consequences are found, that information is very often quashed until it is too late. That has happened over and over and over.

I think putting Jellyfish (fish or animal) genes into plant matter is crazy.

actually, it is rather easy to be done (if one has the right equipment, and neccerssery know how to apply the availible protocols)...

on the other hand, why do it???

reminds me of that "better off ted" series, where the scientists, had to create a glow in the dark "park" with trees, animals, on the company roof ... and during the presentation of their creation, a squirrel jumps of the roof and the scientists goes, "ow, the poor fella, i guess 2 weeks with no sleep must have driven him nuts" ;)

not everything that is doable should also be done, right?

Glow in the dark dog poop would be very handy.

Fucking neighbors dog left a bomb on the lawn right near my car door.

I wiped my shoe on his truck door handle.

He was lucky his clothesline was too far away.

Ah shit!
I was watching the history channels Ancient Ink and they had a dude who was doing eye tattoos on the show. He said he does glow in the dark stars and shit in the eyes. Then I find the ink online and there is a big warning not to put it in peoples eyes.

G`day TG

Don`t become diabetic folks .

An insulin analog is an altered form of insulin, different from any occurring in nature, but still available to the human body for performing the same action as human insulin in terms of glycemic control. Through genetic engineering of the underlying DNA, the amino acid sequence of insulin can be changed to alter its ADME (absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion) characteristics. Officially, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) refers to these as "insulin receptor ligands", although they are more commonly referred to as insulin analogs.

These modifications have been used to create two types of insulin analogs: those that are more readily absorbed from the injection site and therefore act faster than natural insulin injected subcutaneously, intended to supply the bolus level of insulin needed at mealtime (prandial insulin); and those that are released slowly over a period of between 8 and 24 hours, intended to supply the basal level of insulin during the day and particularly at nighttime (basal insulin). The first insulin analog approved for human therapy (insulin Lispro rDNA) was manufactured by Eli Lilly and Company.

Thanks for sharin
