How much and when to use CO2 with Autos?

When have you found CO2 to be most beneficial to an automatics growth?

I have heard and read conflicting opinions about whether or not to use co2 all the way through. Some people say not to during the first few weeks of flowering because it will cause stretching? Others say if you run it your last 2 weeks then your buds will not be as full, airy, and not as dense?

What are you experiences with CO2 and autos?

today i actually set up my first CO2 release system for my autoflowers. its really quite rudimentary and its an uncontrolled release, but i was interested in seeing if there was a noticable growth difference.

its just the sugar/yeast/water method in two 1gallon milk jugs. i put em in my cabinet this afternoon so we'll have to wait n see how much it helps from day 10 and on.


using co2 in flower may help the plant stretch more than normal, but its because of all the energy the plant will be harnessing. Anything using photosynthesis to produce energy gets juiced up by an over abundance of CO2 as long as there's enough light.

Use mixed spectrum lighting all the way through growth to keep internodal length and stretch under control.. airy buds come from a variety of settings one of which is high temps. CO2 causes an increase in temperature in grow environments unless they are properly conditioned.

veg and early growth can benefit alot from CO2 if youre looking to make big plants.

honestly though my system wont be a good test of what co2 can do, because my system isnt 100% controlled like some ppm style release systems
