How many PPM's of CaMg should I use with R.O. water on last week of flower (final flush)? Should I continue using carbohydrates such (General Organic's Sweet or unsulfured molasses)?
What about the carbohydrates ...whats are you guys feeling on using carbohydrates all they way up to the last week and last flush. Such carbohydrates as Sweet by General Organic or unsulfured molasses
All carb products, including molasses and sweet, are the basically the same thing.
I've used unsulphured black-strap molasses, and I've used another product called hi-brix (another name for hi-sugar content) which is less viscous then molasses. I'm sticking with Hi-brix since it pours out much faster and its dissolves into water wayyyyy better too. The truth is- I've had similar results with all carb products I've tried.
And remember, a ton of growers think that when they feed a Carb product to their plants that their plants are actually sucking it up thru their roots. This is mostly untrue, some simple sugars can (in low concentrations) be absorbed thru the roots; however the real benefit from feeding carbs is to help the micro-life in your medium to flourish at a higher rate; therefore allowing your plants to be healthier overall. Also, too much sugar can be a very BAD thing. I've read real horticultural papers on this. I like to use 1/2tsp of molasses or hi-brix per gal of water.
I would agree totally with sitting bull I add molasses to feed the beneficial bacterial in my grow beds . Beneficials need oxygen and food to survive . So i use lots of perlite in my medium and water with 125 ml of molasses every week in 10 gals of water and ive had my best results .
