How many pots should I use?

I have a 2x4x5 tent and I want to grow SCROG .. I was wondering if I should use 4x 5gallon pots or like 10x 1gallons? Any other suggestions let me know I will be using a 600w HPS light.

Depends on the strain and your intention. One easy rule of thumb is to use 1 gallon of mix for every month of growth. I use 4 gallon pots for 4 month seed cycle, and 2 gallon pots for finishing clones. Auto strains like more and don't like being transplanted - but they only run for about 2 months anyway. Still hear of people putting their autos in 5 gallon pots for best results.

I think the best choice is somewhere in between 5 gallon and 1 gallon.

Depends on the number of plants you want in there too. The more plants you have, the less you will have to veg them (to a point).

I don't like running in 1 gallon pots, too small. 2 gallon pots seem to be the sweet spot for me.

Think I may just use two 5 gallon smart pots and scrog them.

i ran 11 Chronics in a dr150, this time im doing 32 fem autos. It all depends alot on the strain and your style of grow, but numbers pretty much dictates yield imo. (time/bud)

Yeah I want to at least get a 350 gram yield , I have grand daddy purp clones.
