Hello fellas
How many Satori plants could I grow under 400W HPS, and how tall will those Satori grow at the end of flowering, do they smell alot and what sent?

Hey Sufett,

The generally recommended area for a 400W HID is 3' x 3'. Up to you how many plants you want to fit in there, also depends on the style of growing you want to do. Sog? Vscrog? I can see anywhere from 2-6 plants.

It does depend on growing style ... but on average, I don't think you're going to get much benefit by slamming more than 4 plants under a 400w. The bigger issue with a 400 is that you're not getting a lot of penetration down to the bottom of any plant more than a couple of feet ... growing tall plants without bending/topping/supercropping in some way is a waste.

I would start the plants blooming when 1 foot tall or less, well branched with a 400w. Good luck. -granger

Thanks for the replys, I think Im going to either bending down the stem or do a SOG, I guess no more than 4 plants then.
Btw: What about the smell from the Satori is it strong and what kind of smell to expect from them? (going to use scrubber but curious anyway)

Depending on how you're growing instead of growing 4 full plants you could take clones and just grow each clone in its own 1 gal pot. You would only get a large colas worth per plant, but you definitely fit more than 4 in there....
