how many plants for 2x400w in a 6'x5' space?

I have a 400w MH and a 400w HPS in my 6x5 space..... theyre air cooled.....

how many plants do you think i should have to maximize my yield? right now i only have 4 plants in 10 gallon buckets... i vegged for 5 weeks but i ddont think im going to get that much.... maybe 6 oz around? Or maybe im under estimating? I dont think i can get more than 1.5 zips a plant......
I know i should be getting way more!!!!

anyways, id love to hear everyones opinion!

you and i have the exact set up bro, ummm whats with the 10gallon buckets thats bit much in my opinion "overkill" really......

i doubt you could get ten of those in that space, and why would you want too any ways..

i run mine in three gallon pots...







theres ten plants in there in 3gallon pots, in a week or so there will be ATLEAST 5 more and maybe up to 13 more...OHHH yes it will be packed....

if you have vegg them 5 weeks already in those 10gallon pots, then they must be pretty big by now RIGHT, any pics????...i'm trying to piture a plant in a ten gallon pot that would be like for a tree grow in the back yard .....if you only get 1.5 oz then yes theres is a huge problem with your set up....what strain is it your growing and what ferts/nutes are you useing??.......

I have 2 400 watt HPS and I flower 10 in 5 gallon pails after a full veg period. It can get a little crowded, but it works out OK.....

i saw one once on CW where the guy had about 50 under 1 400w hps light. he used some tall but thin containers in which trees are initially grown.

yes my friend one could get many numbers under a 400w but were tallking about growing in ten gallon buckets and in a space of 30SQfeet....

Ten gallon pots arent necessary for an inside grow. It would be a big waste of space.

The ones in my pic are northernberry and purple power.....

ya bro that what i was thinking as well ....northernberry never grown it but heard good things about it...purple power is another one of those purple strains that i had though were pretty to look at but with a smallish yield, but by the looks of that room you got them to yield decently...

I have had only one Sativa strain that used every bit of a 7 gallon pot. I agree that 10 gallon is usually overkill for an indoor grow. With 400w systems and growing Indica, I would say 2 - 4 gallon should be good. That should allow you to pack in a few more plants an bring overall yield up. Research your strains to get good yeilders also.

As far as yield per plant, IMO you will never get the yeild from 400w systems that you can get from 1000w systems in the same amount of time. After many side by side comparisons it is night and day. The extra dense growth during veg gives you many more bud sites during flower. And those 1000w HPS bulbs pack on the flowers fast and dense. Sure it's more expensive but the yeild is impressive. I cant remember when I have not cleared more than a pound per light with 1k systems. Once you have your soil formula and nute regiment dialed in, great yeilds seem effortless with 1k systems.

My point is dont look at pictures of plants on 1k systems and get disapointed at the 400w yeild. It comes down to, you get what you pay for. I have seen very decent 400w yeilds though.

for a 400w, I wouldnt go bigger than 5 gallon pots..

honestly though, mine are only like 2-3 gallons each.

Im gorwing Sensi Stars right now, and theyre honestly not that big!!!! thyre about 2.5 ft fall, maybe 2 ft......

im using PBP bloom, liquid karma, the entire fox farm flower line (open ses, beast bloomz, and cha ching), Sweet, and Carbo Load....

well i definitely need to get them into 5 gallon buckets next time.... this is really a disapointment but oh welllll

Right now i just added in a ECSD mom and a Purple Power Mom in the 10 gal bucket so i have 6 plants in there in 10 gal buckets

also, how much do you think i should water them? Right now im doing 2 gallons of water every two days for the 4 sensi stars, and 1 gallon every 2 days for the ECSD and Puple power..... i feed them every other watering.....
