How many plants can you grow before needing CO2

I run a 400 hps in a 3x4 closet.Currently I have 3Sour D and 5bubbas in 3gallon containers(perpetual grow).Every week or so I pull a plant and get about 1-2oz per plant.Will CO2 be something that will improve my Yeilds ? I can't see them looking any better...but size could b improved...

How many plants can you grow before you need cO2?

Well like most questions involved with growing there are to many variables to list, your environment could be alot different then others so metabolism could be different leading to different respiration or co2 useage. As long as you have an adequate intake and airflow you could not overfill a room in my opinion. The fresh air brings in ambient cO2 levels consistently as long as the area it is intaking air from stays supplyed with fresh air as well.

Does cO2 increase output? Yes, but it is hardly worth it if you don't have every other variable in check like temps, humidity, nutrients, amount of light and so on. Also if you aren't sealed up forget it, a fluctuating cO2 level even though incresased could be more harm then good.

For a 400 watt closet it is up to you if it is worth it to you to seal up the closet, add an AC and dehimdifier, a cO2 device and a controller. Most likely I would say that is not something you would want to do for a 400 watt grow
