Do roots grow faster than leaves/green part of plant?

my point is looking at those little clone roots was thinking:

How long would it take for those 3 little roots to reach edge of that cup /be like inch long/?

or question should be How many cm/day could roots grow?

do they grow like superfast?

Almost an impossible question to answer.

If roots get enough water they won't grow much at all. That's why always want the media to dry some so the roots have to search for water. Other factors, such as genetics, also affect rate of growth.

yeah was thinking maybe those guys who cloned in water could say how fast do roots grow like cm/per day or how is the growth of roots looking from the very beginning..

bet it will be different growth speed in water / aeroponics.
gotta try it all but atm dunno what to expect
just curious..

One option is to grow in clear plastic pots, so you can see some of the roots.

Is it true - the person who asks the question, gets to do the study ?
