How many 2 gallon grow bags fit in a 39"x39" grow tent?

Just curious to see if anyone knows off hand how many 2 gallon grow bags fit in an HTG 39x39 tent, and what the total amount of soil needed is.

12.5 gallons of soil in the bag. This is a rough guesstimate but you can fill 2.5 5gallon bags with one bag of soil... so 2.5 x 5 = 12.5 gallons... I'd say you can fill 6 bags. And are you trying to do a SOG in 2 gallons? You can't have them touching FYI, mold can establish easily... I keep one pot per sq ft to provide optimum ventilation.

Two-gallon grow bags measure 5.75" x 10" x 6.5"

If you have them touching it's up to you. You can fit 18 w/ very little to no space between them... I would not do more than 9 but i'd upgrade the bag size to 5 gallon...

Why would you suggest 5 gallon bags if you don't know how long he's vegging for? Many would argue that a 5 gallon bag is suitable for a 5 foot plant and I'm getting the impression he's trying to cram a lot of plants in SOG style. Sorry I don't have an answer for you Inject truth but I just didn't want you taking niceshoes advice unless we had more details from you that would justify advising 5 gallon bags.

I found out for you today that 3 cubic feet of soil will fill up ten 2 gallon pots. And if niceshoes is right about the dimensions (but i'm assuming he meant 5.75"x6.5"x10"-tall) you can fit 30 in there with little or no space between them and in that case you'd need 9 cubic feet of soil. Hope this helps you.

you are absolutely right... I remember thinking he should be able to fit more b"but my math was not wrong" --stoner moment... yeah, you can fit no more than 36.

I was not sure about the SOG, that's kinda why I asked him Bro. :bashhead:
Why would someone do a SOG in a 5 gallon? That sounds pretty dumb to me and they say plan on a gallon per foot. Not a foot per gallon :muahaha: I wish it was that easy... Besides, he has about 5 feet of plant growth in that tent any how. So let the man answer before we answer for him... but I don't think he is comming back to this thread since he posted it a week ago and didnt reply :jerkit:

Hey buddy, I am doing the exact thing that you are asking about right now. You can fit 12 - 2 gallon grow bags in your tent. I have the same size tent as you and that is what I fit in there with a bit of room to spare. If you would like to cram them in there, then you could fit 16 2gallon bags.

You will need to get 2 large bags of soil to fill those bags. I hope this helps.
