I usually keep my seedlings in veg for 3-5 weeks to get ripe plants between 50-80cm (2-3 foot) height.
But as i have to make seeds in every run and do some selection, I want more little instead of only some bigger (yielding) plants.

at least 6-8 weeks, sometimes i forget to keep track and go by looks but in general i veg for as long as possible. no real benefit in shorter veg in my opinion, the plant just takes longer to put out flowers and getting ripe which is already taking a lot of time compared to cuttings. oops drifted away.. ☮️

It depends on the surface you are going to grow on and the cultivation technique. All of this should depend on the genetics you choose and knowing which techniques will work well for them. I mainly look for genetics that can handle the SCROG technique well. I like to make a bunch of branches and have the surface well filled and used.

I was thinking, and I don’t know the last time I flowered a plant grown from seed. I usually take cuttings and flower one to see if the plant is worth running a room full of.
