How long yall vegging for normally?

Last few grows I would normally flip between 4-6 weeks... this grow I may be going closer to 9-10weeks of Veg (first 3 weeks of veg had issues with VERY low humidity and plants not growing correctly) so I’m trying to get that loss of time back. Just curious what yall think the added yield may be by vegging extra few weeks? Twice daily feeds, 600hps.x5. 3plants under each. Only issue I’ll have is the height so hoping between supercropping/training and keeping Mh in for stretch will help. I kept MH in last grow for stretch and it forsure limited it a LOT.

You certainly have enough wattage to handle tall plants. Nice!

I think you would get a good return on your investment if you went more veg time. During veg, train the plants to whatever style you are going for. Bushy, single cola dominated or trained during flower.

Agreed with stond face. My yields have always been better when I’m topping, pruning, trying to hold them back in veg for 8+ weeks, vs rushing them. Not saying you can’t get good results with shorter veg times. It’s all strain dependent really..

What light do you veg with? 60w MH?

A lot depends on the strain. Some stretch a lot more than others at flip.

We grow big plants, in large containers.

We generally veg for 60-70 days under 1000w Hortilux HPS, and 15-20 gallons Promix BX.
A Super Silver Haze vegged for 2 months will barely fit under a 1000w- Hortilux in a 4 x 4. We get up to 24oz a plant/light. But this is at its best. Generally 18oz.

Dominion Granny Skunk we get 3 plants under each light. We also Bend our plants and have them grow horizontally. Get around 12-14oz per Light We don't top. Only bend so the tip keeps growing.

Hi there
IMO opinion When your canopy is full your canopy is full, taller/longer vegged plants won’t make a difference as all you will gain is popcorn stuff down below/more clearing of useless foliage on the lower branches to do depending how you look at it.

As long as you have good enough root system and your canopy is full/ nearly full...your good to flip to flower....the stretch will fill the rest.

I am an advocate for training and the creation of an even canopy.

No point having huge plants where the lower 50% can’t make use of the light coming down...

My 2 cents...
