How long to wait after topping

So I want to put into flower as soon as possible, but I have just topped about a week ago, and also put into bigger pots about 4 days ago.

How long after topping should I wait before putting into flower?

Depends on how much growth theres been. I like to give them 2-3 weeks depending on growth/genetics. I go about the same on repotting depending on how big a step up in pot size. 1/2 gal to 2 gal will take less time to fill with roots than 1/2 gal to 5 gal.

In the past I have transplanted and topped on the day of flip. Then started supplementing CO2 at the same time. I did so with varying genetics. Doing so allows for shorter veg time and results in an increased stretch.

As wildgrow pointed out, your container size is an important factor. If you just transplanted into final containers then I wouldn't veg too much longer unless you went from (wildgrow's example) 1/2 gallon to 5 gallon. And even in that case how much longer you veg will be relational to genetic expectations. Will you be finishing something that should finish in nine weeks, or fourteen?

Lots of variables involved.

Best of luck.

it depends how big you want your plant to be. I've flipped the day of topping before and my plants didn't get as big as I would have liked. So I always vegged for another two weeks or so before flipping.

As long as your plant is showing vigor and getting decent growth, you can flip whenever you would like after topping and transplanting.

I think I will go 12/12 in two days.
Gave them a decent watering last night so I want the pots to dry out before I put them in the dark for 24 hours to stimulate faster (hopefully) flower initiation.

It would be good to leave them for another week, but I need a harvest soon as possible, and I want to start the harvest clock ticking down.
