Hallo mate,,,

Normally a charcoal filter have a lifetime of around 1-2 years, depending on brand. I like to change the dustfilter every grow or at least every 2nd. And the charcoal I change once a year!!

About your 200mm extractor to a 125mm filter... a possible problem could be that the extractor suck much more air through the filter than the filter can clean, and therefore you will be stuck with the odour from the plants!! It's somewhat vital the the parts you use fits together (the technical side of the parts)!!

Hope that helps!!!

why ? both of them has same air flow capactiy.even carbon filter has higher air flow capacity (1000m3) than extractor (900 m3 ) ,is it still a trouble ?
if there is still a problem,i can try different design.

my ''B'' plan;
i can put the carbon filter end of the air way.air flows:
cooltube>extractor>carbon filter>outside of the box.

I think it is different for every grow, how long the carbon lasts. My scrubber is smaller, only three liters of carbon, and it lasts a year. I am at month 11+ right now, and I can smell the buds in the room now, so I know it needs changing, when it is running, normally you can not smell anything unless you put your nose in a bud. The nose knows.
