How long till harvest of sour diesel, afraid of first frost?

Hello everyone, I am a new/beginner and started my outdoor grow beginning of July and am worried that my girls (sour diesel) will not make it to harvest. It is getting cold here, we are in the 30s in the early mornings, and afraid of frost. I live in the north east of California, right at the Oregon border. My SD are in their 3rd week of flowering. They are nice n tall approx 7+ft and 4+ft wide. Im starting to see the trichomes and just checked yesterday, they are cloudy/milky, and still has the reddish hairs on top (don't know what its called). Any suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and LIVE THE HIGH LIFE

Sour goes to Halloween. With the weather this year it doesn't look good for her finishing properly. Unless its in a GH, of course.

Good luck.

Btw the hairs are called stigmas.

I am in the same boat. Just on the other coast.

Set up a greenhouse for them would be best; it doesnt have to be expensive or goodlooking. How about a picture or two?

Siro is exactly right, at least for Lat roughly 42 deg N or so. She def goes right up to Halloween but if you can beat the frost you'll be a huge winner, outdoor sour is fantastic.:tiphat:

I agree with Shukriya1, if you can put up a greenhouse type structure around them to protect them from the frost, that will probably help.

Looks like South Oregon is just getting their first rain, one sign of normal weather. + Normal weather in South Oregon means, down into the 30's at nights during October.

I have an Amnesia outdoors, about 4 weeks into flowering. I put a wood frame around her, to attach fabric to. It's about 6 feet tall and 4 feet wide. I used 1x4 utility grade pine, which is not a coincidence since it's the cheapest semi-structural-grade wood I have access to.

I've never done a "cold frame" before, so I guess this is my chance ! :woohoo:

With a Greenhouse-like structure, you can add heat:

Cheap & Simple: Black buckets willed with water (lids), Large Rocks
$: turkey burner via propane tank (lasts 5-7 days on low flame), bring electricity to GH and use electric heater.

I'm doing the turkey, m'self.

I think yall missed this important piece of info I highlighted above.

Sour D goes 11-12 week for a proper finish. You'll need protection until the end of November.
