From 24-72 hours normally,if you're going to use that procedure its best to use a good quality 2 ply paper towel.Where most people go wrong with this process is they leave standing water in the container,or leave the paper too wet.I like to use a folded over paper towel cut to size the bottom of a rectangular tupperware container.First I'll saturate the folded towel, and tilt tupperware to drain excess water. Then I put in the seeds and make little "air pockets" with my fingertips around each seed all the while keeping the tupperware tilted to drain excess water.Excess or stnading water will hinder/delay germination. Its always best to refrigerate a night or two before and of course keep sealed tupperware in a warm dark place.Using this procedure I normally get 75% after 24 hours with good viable seed.

just cracked seed the other day. 12 to 24hours to crack in water, then 24 to 48 hours to germ once planted in soil/coco/rock wool.

for some reason the seed in the rock wool is taking longer to pop up, might have planted too deep or there older seed or prefure coco unsure :chin: . I dug gently down to the seeds in rock wool to find them all but 1 germed just having troubles breaking through the wool, exposed seed or green leave to light and they look to be comming up well now.

In the past my seeds have always cracked in 1-2 days. And if they dont crack by that time they are probably a dud....

Hey man rockwool is like the hydro medium of the 70s. It hold too much water and adds some PH drift. In many systems wet rockwool becomes a breeding ground for harmful bacteria.

Point is you should switch to Rapid Rooters or Oasis cubes ASAP.

If the spot is too warm it can fry them. I like the put the we paper towel in a freezer bag and blow air into it once a day or so. This keeps them from potentially drying out. You can try a fresh paper towel in a freezer ziplock bag if none of them popped. After several days and re-trying soaking and a new paper towel with the freezer bag you should contact the vendor you bought the seeds from and tell him NONE of them germinated and he should give you some more.
