How long is pollen viable

Other people have asked this question but their intention, as far as i have seen, has been to extend viability.

I want to know how long I would have to wait to introduce a pollinated female back into the grow room without pollinating other females growing "sinsemilla".

I'm in northern new england and have a pair (M/F) outside that are just starting to flower. in a week or so I'd like to kill off the male and bring mom inside before hard frost to mature in the grow room under 12/12. There are other females in the grow room and i don't want them pollinated. If i waited a week after the male is chopped can I mist her and bring her inside without concern?

The last time i did something like this I took a Female outside, dusted her, and then brought her back in. Needless to say the other females received a fair share of pollen.

Thanks for any help.........FL

i would say it would be a month or so , at any rate i have heard that water deactivates the pollen so three good spray downs after three weeks of airing out might do the trick. good luck

thanks, DD. I would never have guessed it took that long for pollen to become "inert" for lack of a better term. But i will take your advice..............FL
