How long for no pest strip to work?

So I have used the hot shot no pest strip for two nights in a 100 sf room with all ventilation turned off and the room sealed. I also hung it behind a fan to increase the concentration.

The fuqin spider mites are still munching away and seem to be alive and well.

Do these no pest strips take a while to kick in? How quickly should i see an effect? I am really starting to get a bit nervous. bastards are working on my top cola leaves now.

thanks for any input!!!

Somebody has to have some no pest strip experience out there? Do I just have some tough mites or does it take a few days to kick in? Just using it during lights out should be enough right?

I used used it for the first time a week ago (during lights off in a sealed space) and I still have mites. I had a pretty heavy infestation and had tried neem oil for weeks. The mites are on the decline, but they are still there...so to answer you question I really don't know. Some folks swear by them, some say they harm the plants if left in for too long in confined spaces...Im still undecided, but they have helped with the mites.

Hope yours works better

They don't "really" work for heavy infestations of mites..

Try, avid (on your vegative plants.. its toxic)

Thats gonna be the only way to BE SURE these fuckers are gone... I suppose if your area is 5x5 or smaller you MITE (pun intended) be able to do it with something less toxic.. providing you leave the room empty for several dayz and take every thing out clean with bleach

Peace

Increase the number of strips for bad infestations. I had 4 in a 9X12 veg room - growing in the closet!

It usually takes days to start reducing the numbers - and part of what your seeing is hatchlings, eggs can take up to 2 weeks to hatch - so you must not stop until you get ALL THE LIL FUCKERS. The can develop immunities very quickly so it's important to make sure none survive the exposure.

I like to see 1 month mite free before I pull the NPS.

The active ingreedient has a 3 day half life in low humidity - in a grow room with 50%+ humidity - it's shorter.

Lower temps slows them down also - when possible.

I believe he meant how long the active ingredient will stay active in the room once released, not how long the strip itself will last.
