How long before you can tell the sex of your plants?

if you go from seed with 12/12= about 3 to 4 weeks until you see a flower

if you go with clones on a 12/12= about 2 weeks till you see flowers

for mature plants after flipping the lights to 12/12= about 5 to 10 days depending on variety.

sex can show as early as 2 weeks if the plant starts on 12/12 light from seed. If in veg it can vary greatly plant to plant, variety to variety.

If you're growing in veg it usually takes 5 or 6 weeks from seed. As the guys above say, it varies with 12/12 seed starts and clones.

it depends on the strain really i have some show in 7-8 days and then i have had others that didnt show til 3 weeks in to 12/12

defiantly Depends on the strain & approx within 4 weeks of veg from seed they will show sex.

I'm looking at 3 beaUTIFul and healthy male Princess Diesel F2's that are visibly male.... after 6 days of 12/12. Fully vegged clones.

I used to have a Skunk #1 that would show hairs in 4 days.... if the first 24hrs were dark.

I can already do it! But it took me several years to get good at it!

The hormones that control sexual maturity in plants is controlled by the photoperiod, and to a lesser extent strain/genes. thats one of the reasons i'm a fan of 18/6 veg over 24/0 veg, the plant needs the dark-cycle. i have found that in general, plants will reach the pre-flower stage of growth faster as the hrs of darkness increases, but once plants reach tertiary growth, (branches coming of the branches on the main stem) the plant will start to show sex
