how long after sprouting is a plant a seedling

How long after sprouting is a plant a seedling and starts veg. What i mean is if i sprout a seed and let it grow 3 weeks is it still a seedling at 4 weeks it is it still a seedling, when is it considered to be in veg.
Also does anyone know how many weeks from sprouting, it takes for Berneys tangerine dream, MG warlock, Eva veneno to show preflowers in veg, or an average time it takes before preflowers show in veg.

It's a seedling until it grows its first set of five-bladed leaves. Really, it's just a term to identify a newly sprouted plant. I usually start seeing sex identification at 3-4 weeks, though I've had some individuals that took ~6 weeks. It's rare, but it has happened. Good luck.

when it has itself a rootball. when rootbound in a cup it may start flowering in veg, may not. as for the strains there's a lot of factors to consider. if its indoor, veg em in cups for a month and a half under flouros or until you see preflowers, whichever is sooner. transplant em, veg em for one more week and flip em to flower. happy growing & good luck
