How late into flower do you prune bottom buds?

indoors I've kept my pruning to veg. What do you giant outdoor plant people do? When do you stop pruning up the sites doomed for nothing but larf? and when do you start to say "fuck it, thats one for the hash bags."?

Thoughts?

EDIT: I thought i was postingthis to the cannabis growing questions forums. oops, too stoned.

I haven't touched the bottoms of my plants in probably a month and I'm done. After I open it up and get as much as I can that's it. A giant plants just going to have a ton of shit you can't reach.

I train (LST) and prune until stretch is over then let the ladies do there thing. I like the bottoms to be a few feet off the ground with no little sappers, no one wants dirt in there mmj lol

Sounded like he was saying he stops like a month before stretch/flowering. I'm newer to this with big plants, but I generally stop before they are really flowering, otherwise they could get stressed out and it may delay or lower your yield.

I stop taking useless stems at week 4 of flower. Thats as late as I take stuff off.
If I notice a branch thats just taking energy away from the better stuff I chop it.

Yep, its all about the energy. Bud without light will die itself. Bud with low light will be fluffy. Gues you want to awoid fluffy buds, ye?

Indoors under lights...Leave them...take off the top buds after flush....lower the lights - 18" open or 6-10" cooled - trim the leaves back that are blocking light to the top buds...if using a net over them, pull next row of buds up so they get light...keep watered with ph'ed water...let the next buds gain weight, then take them and repeat the process until they are all gone...unless you are in a big hurry for cash or stash..then cut them way to early and miss the maturing of the trichs - don't let them gain their max weight and lose stash or cash and lower value and effect for medical ...get stuck with a bunch of lower potency popcorn...don't make as much money...less potent weed...burns with black in ashes meaning you are smoking nutes and whatever you didn't flush out..IOW chemical smoke...poisonous to users..mids at best!
For smaller growers - 10# or less, get one of these and be whammed out over the time you wasted being a cheapskate - like my friends in Co did. Be sure and get the real deal...cut buds off stem, don't overload it,layer it with buds wall to wall or less - put lid on an do 10 turns to the right and 15 to the left...open and put buds on drying rack...here's where I got theirs off Fleabay and them took it to them as a surprise - and boy were they thankful! Here's the link.Might be more on Fleabay also - didn't look.! I guarantee nothing!

ye, indoors I get maybe maybe 1/2 oz larf for every 16 oz of good dense buds. I know outdoor is different, there's more for the hash bag, but this is what i'm wondering bout. avoiding the fluff.

so you stop pinching weeks before harvest?

Weeks before flower even. When you are dealing with plants that are 9x9s or bigger all you can do is get what you can reach. Whatever is left over either goes to hash or I give it away to those in need. If I grew smaller plants or in smart pots it would be way easier to get in there and get more. Also when you don't harvest all at once a lot of that little shit ends up chunking out to trimmable nugs.

I try to have all lower and inside pruning done before stretch kicks in. But I top only in the early spring.
