How I Dry Weed In A Paper Bag

Week 4

Active member
For small amounts with typical indoor conditions it works well in my experience
I'm talking to this member (not here) and he just chopped a whole plant and wrapped it in a super size brown paper bag. Straight away from chop... 🤔 Sound right to you guys?

I understand some of it, after a dry , then the cure. During the cure if your buds are to wet, stick them in a paper bag can help ...but straight from chopping? Probably not a good idea.
I have done it with no problems with small amounts just like NeDank’s photo. I leave the bag open until it gets just a little crispy

trying this method for the first time with eight small plants grown from seed in a closet grow and am wet trimming straight to paper bag so far so good. the first few were ready to zip loc in a week or less after paper bagging

since the recent temperature drop the rh was too low in the folded bags so i had taken some vegetable bags from the produce section which fit perfectly in the paper bags and left semi-open and have gotten the temps/rh in the bottoms of the bags to about 65°/65

frequent checking the bags yes, but, in 3-4 days i can begin sampling and in a week or so to zip loc. there's no crispness or unevenness like with hanging just dank, and takes up like no space

also that few days of overwhelming aroma that passes soon after hanging plants? that did not happen and the bags have minimal odour unless opened

i foresee the opened/closed/plastic lined etc modes will change with the season that i am harvesting in, but for small amounts as a home grower i believe this is my new method (will report back angry after finding mould lol)

here are the bags i use, only about 11" x 8" which is perfect really:
