how high of temps and length of exposure time will damage ballasts

I was wondering if 120 degree dry temps for a day will damage a ballast? I put a fan blowing on it. Will my bulb or ballast blow or something?

Probably not, most are designed to run a bit hot to the touch. Over a period of time is what to watch for. The warranty is a relative measure of life expectancy from normal use. "Normal use," being what the manufacturer says it is.
