How do you run two bulbs off one ballast?

I was thinking about putting two c24 cabinets side by side with a 600w bulb in each. As soon as one flowering period was over, id like the ballast to switch over to the other bulb. Is that possible?

Do you mean you want a Metal Halide and an HPS switchable ballast? If so, yes they make ballasts like that. I don't quite get what you mean...

hehe, i didnt explain too well. i would have two seperate flowering chambers on opposite 12/12 cycles. as soon as one cabs done with its flowering cycle, the ballast would automatically switch over to the other bulb. a single ballast running 24/7 powering two bulbs 12/12

dang, these are a lot more expensive then i imagined. for my purposes it makes more sense to shell out the dough for another ballast. thanks for your help regardless

not really st0n3r, you can wire up two bulbs to one ballast REALLY easily, granted they cant be on at the same time. Dopest wrote up a thread on a DIY Flip Flop that is a good read. really what you need is a relay to switch which bulb gets the power from the ballast. you could probably do this for about $5.

well a relay and a timer
