How do you go about a grow when a Cop is living on the other side of street.

A friend asked me to help setting up his 1250 wtt grow in his new appartment.

So I went there and found that the place seemed to have good possibilities to do so.

But now, all of a sudden it turned out that right across the street there happens to live this Cop.

I personally am verry familiar with the typical smell comming out of a further good functioning carbon filter during wintertime.

(especially when outdoor temps drop and we experience our regular minus 20C to minus 30C here in Finland, this humid stench becomes realy noticeble at the place we live when there will be no wind.)

I know cops are supposed to recognise this smell too, and now I think about canceling the plan.

To do a 'sealed' grow would be rather impossible.

Has anyone got any good ideas to do it anyways but without him noticing it!

Just a voting up or down response could be rather interesting too.

I second this!!!!!!!! Surveillance would go undetected. Cops are Cops 24/7.

Just think if you slipped up, an odor leak something small, would be magnified by just having an officer across the street.

The answer is , very carefully.. No parties, no loud music, no attention. Carbon filters on every hole, no leaks. Smell will be your worst enemy.

If that guy gets whiff of your situation, your putting your freedom and your life on the line. Is a 1250w grow worth losing your freedom? Not to me it's not.

@ Poopyteabags. Did you ever run them at heavy minus degrees without wind?

Did you ever notice moist condensing in the air when it becomes expelled?

Did you ever notice a peticular smell that is not directly to associate with weed but most definatly with "carbon filter exhaust" ?

Get a wheel barrel for your balls first.....next get an extra carbon filter and create a buffer room to vent into with the other scrubber scrubbing that room. Grab an extra dehumidifier for the buffer room.

Or move.

Off duty doesn't mean anything. They risk their job by not investigating something suspicious. I had a relative who dated a sheriff for a while. I quickly realized why they are stressed out, drink a lot, and have high divorce rates/relationship trouble.

I used to exhaust my room and did a poor job on my duct work. Every now and then I would end up with a leak somewhere in the line and could always tell because I could start to notice the filtered smell.

if the room is setup right the coldness of outside air once the air is cleaned and discharged shouldnt matter.


as for moist condensing not to sure...as in winter time i dont vent outisde i vent inside and use the heat from the bulbs to heat my house...


last on is a no as well... i also find it harder to smell shit in cooler weather but that may just be me.

If youve ever used your drier when it was really cold out you would notice that when the hot air hit the cold air outside you see steam
The smell would also be more obvious in cold and dry conditions

IMO everyone thinks cops know what the smell of pot is chances of this guy being so square he wouldn;t know is he young is he old , sometimes doing something not being noticed is better right in front rather then being sketched out and worrying

A cop owns a building right across the street from , and I've haven't no problems... go on with your regular life.... odor control would be number 1, then number 2 would be the amount of traffic going in and out.... also 1250 watts amount shit...... runn that shit, and be happy

This one sounds plausible, got to think it through.

@ Poopy TB. Back then, I had the luxury of doing it like you do too, and could easely expell it all out along the smoking chimney.
Though on places where it was to be expelled differently, like outside a window, underneath the roof or shed wall... Nah, I can tell directly what's going on when there's not too much wind.

This guy will have to expell along a window as there is no other option left, but the idea of designing a second scrubbing room to eleminate the moist sounds good.
It's the combination of moist and speed of airflow that becomes all of a sudden exposed to this still standing frozen air what is causing this peticular smell imo.

Harvesting time will be nasty too, as it tends to overload the filters so everyone can smell it anyhows.

Sounds like your doing this off the book, with no med card...

I would not grow at all if so period.

I HAVE had my fair share of Sheriffs come to my house, look in my room, arrest me once for a fucking fake cane sword and still no charge related to my plants. My rec was correct and my doc was willing to fight for me. Home under siege and still no problems from them but still, don't risk it IMO. If you want to know your legal status just call and ask the dept...but why risk it if your not confident your P's and Q's are in line with your states rules.
