How do you deal with the police when pulled over?

in the past month ive been pulled over quite a few times because i have POS car so they profile me you know how that works. well ive noticed the first few times i was pulled over the cops really took advantage of me and were
"abusive-like" if that makes any sense. Now they dont mess with me anymore, they pull me over still but they dont fuck wwith me*knock on wood*. The only changes ive made was the way i talk to them. before i would talk to them like humans and reason with them and telll them my situation. this would always lead to them fucking with me. Since i started being really straightforward and "firm" with them ive yeilded better results.

example:cop pulls me over and comes over to the car.

cop:license and registration please
me: whats the problem officer?
cop: oh im just a dirty fat pig and i want to harass you
me: oh ok sir*hands him the paperwork*
cop:so i noticed you werent drivin all to well you been doing drugs or drinking ?
me:no
cop: are you sure? do you mind if i search the car?
me: yes im sure. and yes i mind
cop: why if you didnt have drugs you wouldnt care if i searched it
me: I dont consent to any searches
cop: Oh i see your married whats her name, where does she work
me: i plead the fifth
cop: your being really suspicious why wont you give me any information
me: I believe your questions are irrellevent sir. im tired i worked all day and i need to go home and rest.
cop: let me go talk to my partner


cop: ok well drive safely now your free to go.



now to the uninformed it would look like im setting myself up for failure. when in fact dealing with them this way sets the COP up for failure. If you tell a cop all the right things when asked he honestly doesnt have shit on you.

so how do you guys deal with the police? it'd be nice to give word for word examples to give the members a better idea how to act around these pigs.

it'd be nice to live in a country where you didnt have to cover your ass to this extent because you can trust the authorities are doing there job honestly and correctly. but we dont and you cant, so people, make sure whenever you step foot in that car know your rights and follow the laws of the road.

One thing that stands out from the exchange you quoted is that the cop said you weren't driving well. The best offense here would be an excellent defense: specifically, not giving them a reason to pull you over in the first place.

I had a frighteningly close brush with the cops a few weeks back over something stupid--I hadn't put my new registration sticker on my license plate (thank god it was in the glove box!) and I was parked in front of a gray curb--with a friend who had just given me some bud. We were yakking away, and next thing I knew there were red and blue lights flashing right behind us. Talk about a sick, sinking feeling...the cop flashed his light around the car, took my driver's license, and did a background check on me. Nothing came up, thank god, and after a few more questions he let me go. He would have found a quarter ounce in my car had he searched it.

I was lucky that time, but the closeness of that encounter scared the shit out of me. Now any herb I carry goes in my trunk, and I drive to the letter of the law. I don't give the cops any reason to pull me over.

like i said my car is a piece of shit. i was driving fine the allignment is off so when i drive its not always the straightest. I agree though. the best offense is a good defense. but im getting a brand new car, working on the car loan so it will be different ill blend in with everyone else. but for right now. cops are going to pull me over because around here they profile like a mother fucker.

lol. mines 21 years old. But back on topic. If i was a less informed person driving my car id be letting cops get me into alot of shit. but with cops there bullies they only bully you if you let them. if your ignorant and dont know the law they'll take advantage of it. if you know the law and use it to your advantage you will be amazed at how much respect cops will show you.

funny story. back when i was 16 i was riding my goped down the street goin to work. on my way it breaks down and i turn it into a push scooteer and was riding it like that. cop pulls me over and i ask him whats the problem. he said i have no helmet on and that its illegal to ride a goped without a helmet on. So i kindly told him it is only illegal to ride it without a helmet if the motor is on, i was manually pushing it. Cop goes oh so you know the law son? I said no sir but i know THAT part of the law very clearly. hes like ok be safe. Im like hey sir seein as how my goped broke down you mind giving me a ride to work? (of course i was just fucking with him to get a rise outta the guy)hes like hell no see ya. haha serve and protect. more like bullshit and harrass.

i give no attitudes to cops at all.. Im black so rules are a little different for me.. i have always drove a brand new car since i was 16 since my parent works for a car manufacturer and we get huge discounts.. I also dont sound ignorant or uneducated when i talk, some people may think i talk like Bryant Gumble..
I have been pulled over 13 times in the last 6 years of my driving career and only have a 5 and 15 over on my record from when i was 17.. Only twice have a had a bad experience with the cops pullin me over because i was DWB (driving while black) in a nice car and in a nice neighborhood..
To stay out of trouble, dont smoke in your car and dont leave drugs in your car.. keep that stuff at your house if you dont need it.. Also if you are going to smoke, only bring a joint or two.. not your bong and glass piece..

Yeah i used to hate drivin with the herb. I used to stash it under the hood pinned under a wire harness or something. Good advice on the pre-rolled too. But now im Prop215 legit, so i hang buds from the rearview like an airfreshener.

Man driving, nothing wrong, smoking cigarette, throws cigarette out when finished....cop pulls him over, he does not consent to search during random questioning.

What was outcome?

same scenario smarter person.

Man driving, nothing wrong, smoking cigarette, disposes cig in ash tray when finished, cop driving behind man, man gets home, still nothing wrong.

I find that cops love it when you caress their face while talking to them. Doesnt work as well on police canines.
